I got the newer schwinn varsity road bike. IFor a 2 year old bike which I have paid 200 bucks for and ride it daily it has to have over a thousand miles on it. It’s a great bike. Sure everyonce in awhile the chain might fall off becuase of shifting to fast but to tell you the truth its not that much better then my usa made trek for the money atleast. and if you ever lose interest it wont hurt so bad collecting dust in the garage since you made out on the bike.

My Schwinn Voyager 11.8 was made in Oct 1980, i brought it in May 1983 (new). Black with red trim. 12 speed. Great Bike, i ride it everyday.

Schwinn used to have good bikes. Now they are just in for the money…They lost the tradition.

Schwinn bikes are sold in department stores now. Reason enough why I wouldn’t buy one.
